Flame-Retardant Insulating Black Acetate Cloth Tape For Bundling

The black acetate cloth tape consists of a black acetate fabric backing coated with a high temperature flame retardant adhesive. The adhesive can be either rubber or acrylic based. Depending on the requirements, the base material can be given a flame retardant treatment to achieve a self-extinguishing (fire resistant) property, resulting in “flame retardant acetate cloth”. Products without added flame retardants will ignite and continue to burn, and are referred to as “non-flame retardant acetate fabric”. In general, the acetate cloth base material and adhesive alone do not provide fire resistance. Special processing is required to achieve the “flame retardant” effect.
